HOTEL TOR, Geneva – A Smart Stay in the City

The property offers clean and tidy rooms with private bathrooms at a high rate, more akin to serviced apartments. The service was exceptionally friendly and helpful, notably assisting in retrieving a lost mobile phone at the train station. The location is central, seconds from the central bus station with easy access to public transportation. Overall, a suitable choice for short business stays.

The hotel was clean and practical, with a room equipped with essential amenities like a hairdryer, TV, DVD player, and fan for sudden heat waves. While the lack of an exterior window made the room uncomfortably hot on a particularly warm night, the breakfast service was a convenient touch.

The hotel had DVD and LCD TVs with cable TV in the rooms, offering a few English channels, but they were in need of refurbishment. Despite being in a patio, the room was noisy due to sounds from a neighbor's chimney hood throughout the night.

I found the hotel to be conveniently located near the train station, the city center, and the beautiful Lake Geneva. The service was mostly friendly and helpful, although there were a few grumpy interactions. The dining options were simple but of good quality, and the rooms, despite lacking soundproofing and air conditioning, were adequate for our needs given we weren't planning to spend much time in them. Overall, a decent stay with a few minor drawbacks.

My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. However, the bathroom was tiny and the breakfast served in the room was a bit inconvenient. The service from the staff, especially from Laurant and ilma, was exceptional and very helpful. The location was excellent with everything within walking distance, but it was a bit noisy at night.
